Have you ever seen the light on the French Riviera? I assure you it is something special. It may be the special position that the South of France has but I assure you that it is different than, for example, what you can feel in Riccione or Forte dei Marmi, where I have gone a few times. It must be the angle that the sun has towards those who are on the beach. Here I have friends who host me and it is here, both in their villa in the hinterland and on their boats, that I made these drawings. I’m like my style of quick impressions. Sketches done on the terrace while I was drinking a coffee or sitting on the marina of St. Tropez harbour. It was also exciting to watch a regatta or if I remember correctly it was the “Le Voiles de Saint Tropez” regatta where I made some sketches. I’m sure I’ll be back to do more new work.
